Technology

Alvarado ISD's technology department serves the technological needs of over 4,000 students and staff members. The department is also a leader in educational technology for the state of Texas. It has become a showplace for many districts across the state to come and view recent advancements and developments in educational technology.

The district's computer network is made up of over 2,500 machines with a current student-computer ratio of 3:1 district wide with a 1:1 ratio at grades 4 - 8. There are also 27 state-of-the-art computer labs located throughout the district. Each campus also has a complete wireless network to allow for laptop use anywhere on campus with access to the network and Internet.

The focus of Alvarado ISD's technology department is to fully integrate technology into student instruction. The department also oversees the all aspects of technology, telephone and digital security for the district.
